Englishman Andrew Salmon covers the Koreas for Forbes, Monocle, The South China Morning Post, The Times and The Washington Times. A graduate of the University of Kent and the University of London’s School of Oriental and African Studies, he is the author of American Business and the Korean Miracle: U.S. Enterprises in Korea, 1866 – The Present (2003). His interests include martial arts, history, wining and dining. Author and JoongAng Daily restaurant critic Andrew Salmon will present the ingredients and characteristics of Korean food and the development of a modern restaurant culture in Seoul. He will also address Korea’s failure to promote its excellent national cuisine internationally, beyond Japan. Finally, as the author of the 2002 restaurant guidebook Seoul Food Finder, he will give his personal top ten Seoul restaurants. |
